Week of the Young Child
Week of the young child celebrates the efforts of teachers, parents, guardians, and adults that play a vital role in the lives of young children. Montessori Unlimited, La petite, The Children’s Country yard, Tutor Time and Childtime has joined NAEYC to rejoice this week. These institutions have planned to make this week extraordinary through classroom activities and other unique programs. Learning Care Group, Inc. operates in more than 1000 schools across 36 states. 2011 is the 40th year, celebration of week of the young child. Schedules days of this week are from April 10th to 16th.
Purpose of Week of the Young Child

Main theme of 2011 is “Early Years are Learning Years”, subthemes are Where Learning Begins, Embracing Diversity, Teaching and Teachers matters, Encouraging Health and Fitness, Investing in Young Children Benefits All, and Prevent the Achievement Gap.
